About The Tulsa Ron Paul Meetup Group

We began our journey on May 8th, 2007. Sid from Haskell, OK decided if he was going to get Ron Paul elected he had to start a meetup group for Eastern Oklahoma. The first meeting was in the Haskell town park and 4 of us were there: Sid, Jay, Roxi, and Scott.

The first item on the agenda was to expand the group. We made a decision to move the meetup from Haskell to Tulsa to bring in some numbers. People started popping in right away. A few weeks later the group had started growing in size. Hitting the 50 member mark was a milestone and we were blown away to hit 100.

We have since grown to 133 members and have had 48 official events and meetings. We have a great new organizer, Jake who had to step up to the plate unexpectedly but has done a great job. There is a great amount of diversity in our group and that provides us with the ability to conform to many different types of functions and events.

Whether its GOP meetings or sign holdings we have a great turnout and we get the job done. We have a lot of fun no matter what we do and we've all obtained some new close friends.

In the last week of quarter 3 fundraising Ron Paul had 1.2 million dollars in donations. For quarter 4 the campaign is raising the bar once again and the goal is 12 MILLION!!!
